Joseph R. Seamans
- 1st Lieutenant
Joseph Seamans enlisted in the 118th New York Infantry, Co., A., following his resignation from the 22nd New York on February 22, 1862. He was promoted to Captain and then to Brevet Major. Following his discharge in 1865, he married Rosanna Carpenter. Joseph died on May 6, 1889 in Glens Falls, New York and is buried in Bay Street Cemetery.

Horace Seamans

Horace enlisted in the 118th New York Infantry, Co., E on August 19, 1862 at Schroon Lake, N.Y. He was 35 and the brother of Joseph R. Seamans. Horace was promoted to Wagon Master and mustered out on June 13, 1865 at Richmond, Virginia. At the time of his enlistment he was married to Elvia M. Foster. Horace died on October 16, 1887 and is buried in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell, Iowa.

Ira M Henry enlisted as a Private in Company H, 118th NY Infantry on 26 Aug 1862, in Plattsburg, NY. He was promoted to Corporal shortly thereafter. He was honorably discharged 13 Jun 1865 in Norfolk, VA (east of Richmond, VA). He married Abigail Allen and, together, they raised three children. Both his wife, Abigail, and Corporal Ira M Henry are buried beside each other in the Old Schuyler Falls Cemetery located in Schuyler Falls, Clinton County, NY.
